The $1.1 Million Italdesign Nissan 71-HP GT-R50

Have you got a million Euro to spare? If you do, you could be the owner of the latest supercar from Nissan.

The Japanese carmaker is now taking orders for its exotic $1.1 Million, 710-HP GT-R50 Italdesign which is limited to just 50 cars, making it one of the rarest cars in the world.

The car was revealed at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed back in July. The Italdesign creation marked the 50th anniversary of the GT-R. As you may have noticed from the nameplate, this car is designated the GT-R50, Fifty being the number of years since the original GT-R first appeared on the original Skyline GT-R at the 1968 Tokyo Motor Show.

The stunning GT-R50 is actually based on a 2018 model year GT-R Nismo but it has a multitude of parts developed by its GT3 program into the engine such as a 710 horsepower engine and 575 pound-feet of torque. This is 145HP more than a regular GT-R and 108 pound-feet torque as well. The Nissan sports car program director Bob Laishley said:

"The reaction from Nissan fans around the world and potential customers of the GT-R50 has greatly exceeded our expectations,"

"These 50 cars, which celebrate 50 years of the GT-R as well as 50 years of Italdesign, will be rolling tributes to Nissan's engineering leadership and rich sports car heritage for a long time to come."
