Danny Healy Rae Kerry Fairies

News broke all over Irish Twitter yesterday morning, that Independent Kerry TD, Danny Healy-Rae has blamed the poor road conditions on fairies.

Danny Healy-Rae is no stranger to controversy and alternative opinions. Regarding one particular road condition, Danny said that the disappearance and reappearance of a dip in a Kerry road are due to the presence of fairy forts.

The independent TD believes that the roads passed through fairy forts and that people should stay away from them.
"There are numerous fairy forts in that area.I know that they are linked. Anyone that tampered with them back over the years paid a high price and had bad luck.”

This is not the first time that he has blamed the fairies for mischief. Back in 2007, he claimed that fairies were also to blame for a hollow in a road near Killarney.

There is no way to prove or disprove this belief, and many people who believe this may be accused of being ‘away with fairies’ but the roads department believe there is an underlying subsoil problem on some of these roads.

So do you believe in fairies? What do you think?
