Most popular cars in October 2020

The MyVehicle.ie Nationwide Market Overview report for October 2020

Once again, the Hyundai Tucson was the number one best selling car sold by Independent dealers in Ireland, with the Nissan Qashqai coming in a close second.

The top-ten used cars sold by Franchise dealers for the month of December revealed the number one spot, also to be the Hyundai Tucson

Without a doubt the Hyundai Tucson continues to be one of the most popular vehicles in Ireland.

In somewhat of a change, there are more petrol cars in the top ten list of cars sold privately since the beginning of the year. In many ways the trend has flipped with nine out of ten petrol engine vehicles sold.

Up until recently, diesel was heavily pushed by traders in this country despite the current global trend away from diesel fuel but the statistics would indicate a change here away from diesel.

The number one quickest selling car from Independent dealers in October was 2016 Diesel Volvo S90 and the quickest selling vehicle during December from franchise dealers was the 2016 petrol BMW 3 series.

The October report reveals that of the top ten cars sold privately, the number one spot went once again to the petrol Ford Focus came in the first, second and sixth place.

Of the top-ten cars valued during the month, the Hybrid Toyota Auris came out on top with the diesel Ford Focus taking the second place with the diesel Hyundai Tucson coming in 3rd place.
