Take That's Howard Donald has landed a brand new job and will host a brand new Channel 4 TV Series dedicated to motoring

Producers have not yet announced when the series will air with the world famous Boy Band Pop Star at the helm but they are planning on it being a hit.

Howard Donald will team up with Dario Franchitti who is a retired racing driver fto host the new show called ‘Mission Ignition’, a four-part series of hour-long episodes.

Before his singing in the worlds biggest boyband, Howard was a panel beater and spray painter, so he knows a thing or two about cars. In one of the episodes, the show will see two classic cars taken to pieces with Dario then working with a team of amateur car fans to put them back together. The first team to rebuild their car will then be allowed to keep it. Howard said:

"I've always loved classic cars, so the opportunity to be involved in 'Mission Ignition' and see these historic cars rebuilt is fantastic."

Channel 4 hopes the Take That singer will attract viewers that might not normally be interested in motoring shows. One Channel 4 insider said:

"Producers know that it's a real coup to get a big name like Howard on board and it will attract a lot of new viewers who might not usually be drawn to car shows.

"Along with the tension and drama of the build, Mission Ignition will also take a nostalgic journey through the history of the cars celebrating the ingenuity of these fantastic machines. Howard is chuffed to be involved because it for him it's a genuine passion project."

You never know but Top Gear’s replacement for Matt Le Blanc could be Howard!
